The Bemidji Area Full Gospel Businessmen’s Fellowship of America chapter will meet on Saturday May 1st at Mt. Zion Church starting at 8:00 a.m. Our guest speaker is Mike Burkhart from LaPorte. Mike writes the following: I was raised in the hills of middle Tennessee in a community named Big Rock. My father was a alcoholic who was rarely home. My mother was and still a person with unshakeable faith who could make the worst of times bearable. I joined the Marine Corps when I was 18 and served 2 years where I gained life skills that I still use to this day.I also discovered alcohol and drugs. Upon leaving the Marine Corps I drifted thru various jobs until one of my uncles helped me get hired as a deckhand on a commercial riverboat. I started riding motorcycles with folks I had no business being with and my drug use increased. I started going in and out of jail for various offences which steadily got worse as time went on. I tried multiple times upon release from jail to quit alcohol and drugs on my own with very little success. Only after my conversion did I realize that you can`t defeat a spiritual problem using natural means. I was looking at some serious time in September of 1989 and decided to hang myself in the Sumner County jail, in Gallatin TN. But our Merciful FATHER had other plans and untied the knot as I hung and then also kept me from going to prison. From that moment to this very day, all I can say is, HE`s still working on me.Glory to HIS Name. Come to our FGBMFA meeting on Saturday May 1st to hear “the rest of his story” and join with us in worship, praise and fellowship and bring a friend. Both men and women are most welcome. Live Stream will be available at: Miles Rouland spoke April 3rd.

We will be meeting on January 2nd, 2021 and Erick Rantala was our guest speaker. Below is information from Erick: Originally from Fort Worth, Texas . My family was church going, loving and moral. I grew up knowing about Jesus, but not having a personal relationship with the Lord. After 1 year of college I enlisted in the Navy during the Vietnam war. In retrospect, I can now see how the Lord protected me while I was in Vietnam. On my return, I went back to college and studied Mechanical engineering and worked as an engineer. I married Wendy Burgess the boss's daughter which was one of the best decisions I ever made. We both came to the Lord gaining the personal relationship with the Lord. We have 2 sons who are now married and 7 grandkids. I became involved in prayer, outreach and teaching the word before moving to Minnesota. In Minnesota, I became involved with Pray Bemidji, Minnesota Pray network, Heartland Prayer network and Reformation Prayer network. I Had life changing experience with Harvest Evangelism gatherings in Argentina. My wife in went home to the Lord in 2012. I am believing God for massive harvest of souls in these days and engaged in prayer for God to move and save multitudes. |
